Mussel & Burger Bar

Love this place, a must go-to when visiting Louisville!

Stopped in to have lunch with my daughter. The food was very good. Well prepared. We found the server to be incredibly knowledgeable about their wide selection of bourbon's as well as guiding us through making a good lunch selection. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. I would check it out if you're in the neighborhood

Whilst I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall I was sadly disappointed in the ‘best burger joint in Louisville’ Yes it was a Saturday. No, it didn’t seem that busy. Maybe a party or two. Not upset about the waits. None were long outside of just the lack of service from the server. It was a good 10 mins after my food came out before she even asked how it was..good thing I didn’t need something immediately to begin eating it. Though my BBQ burger was lacking on the BBQ sauce and finally got the chance to ask for more. I only ate half my burger as that’s all I could make myself eat. It just tasted like beef. No flavor whatsoever. Outside of the toppings on the burger which the BBQ sauce is I think was saved it. Don’t get me started on the fries. Fresh out the fryer they may have been the second time but if the grease isn’t clean or filtered properly or they’re cooked too hot, they’ll come out soggy and still gross. Overall. Waste of my money tonight for me to still leave hungry. :( Their burgers are NOT flame grilled. For those who care.

We had the mussels, both the blue cheese and pancetta and the basque and hands down, they have France beat. Having lived overseas, I was curious how these would compare and I can say that these were better. The atmosphere was enjoyable: good music but not blaring, the look of the place is beautiful and service was good. We were surprised how a place in KY would be able to tour their mussels and now we know! We will be back!

Everyone liked their burgers,I had the blue cheese mussels that were good but would try some other mussels next time.

I don't even consider getting burgers from another restaurant now.
