Nice place, good was ok, nothing special. It is difficult to find parking.
Mussel Bar used to be one of our favorite spots in the neighborhood. There appears to have been a major shakeup with both staff and food; both are atrocious right now. The bar staff ignored us while cleaning up a full two hours before closing time. We struggled to order drinks and get our waters refilled. They seemed more interested in draining the ice and moving tables/chairs around than serving patrons at the bar. Our food was inedible. The chicken dish was dry and overcooked and the side was burnt beyond recognition. Likewise, the salmon that was ordered medium was so burnt that it resembled a white fish, not salmon. It was rock solid as well. We will absolutely not go back despite having gone several times per month before the negative changes.
I love this restaurant! Been there over a dozen times. Locally owned. Brilliant mussel dishes. Andrew S. did an unparalleled job serving us tonight. We’re always happy when we come here. YouI’ll enjoy everything about it. They even picked up a Belgian wheat on tap. (Before it was lacking)
Exceptional seafood! Crab dip and fresh oysters to drool over. Yummm!
Great place. Easy going service. Great food.
I had an absolutely amazing experience with my wonderful server Evan! He made my birthday dinner one to remember! Not only was he super attentive, he even had great conversation that truly made me feel special for my big day. He is a gem! The steak frites were cooked to perfection and the side salad was great although I thought I wasn’t a big salad person before. Overall 10/10 would recommend!
This place is a gem. Not super expensive, the mussels and oysters were fire. Nice to sit down have a drink and enjoy the meal. Definitely recommend.
We were served spoiled mussels that resulted in food borne illness.
Absolutely DELICIOUS! (Especially the pistachio creme brulee!) Parking: They validate your parking.
