Great service and food. However, be careful with the spice as it gets you pretty bad.
Usually I find BBQ alone with Hot Pot, however that was not an option here. Good food. Nothing to mention about the service as we order scanning the QR code and the food is delivered.
My boyfriend and I came here during lunch time and got the Meat Lover’s Combo. For the soup base, we opted for the Miso Soup and the Sichuan Spicy Soup base. For the meats, we got the American Wagyu Beef Toro, Australian Wagyu Chuck Eye, and the Prime Black Angus Short Ribs. The meat quality here is really good! Probably one of the best meat quality in a hot pot spot that I’ve experienced. The combo has plenty of meat and is enough to make both of us super stuffed. Soup base for the miso was a bit sweet and tastes like how miso soup shops taste like. The Sichuan Spicy Soup was really good and you can really feel the numbing spice from eating out of that soup base. When you sit down, you scan a QR code and order it on your phone. The servers will then bring out your items. They also have a sauce bar for you to create your own sauce. This is a good casual spot to eat with friends or even to eat by yourself.
The staff were quick and the environment was great. Everyone gets their own pot. The sukiyaki broth was too sweet. The sichuan soap had too much spice pieces in the broth. The Tom yum was more sour than the regular Tom yum which mimics Thai broth. $68 each combo. There was meat combo that chose up to 3 main protein. The other had a variety of fish balls, mushrooms, etc. The meat was cut large pieces. The beef toro was thick. Just disappointed at the meat pieces. Two combo, extra enoki, udon, soda, rice. Total came to be $170 plus tips was like $190. Over priced :(((((
There are lots of hot pot places in the Bay Area that specialize in different things. I like Mumu for its good quality of meat. Their menu is simple. Wagyu is juicy and soft. My recent favorite broth is Tom yum, the flavor is just right and comforting when you eat the veggie and meat from the broth.
Decent hotpot. You have to order everything through their website so there’s no assistance if you have questions about the menu. Food is alright, but the overall experience left a bit to be desired.
