Disappointed with the change from Muku and its menu and value to Globefish Ramen
Loved coming here! The staff was so sweet and friendly, and the ramen was exceptional! Great spot
Everything was really good. Pork belly was delicious! Wish there was a location at the south end of Calgary.
I miss the old muku menu. Y’all shouldn’t have changed this place into goobefish ramen. When I was a little kid, I enjoyed the food from this place A LOT! When I found out about the change when I ate there earlier, I broke down in tears! This restaurant USED TO BE amazing and unique in terms of food. I loved the miso chicken katsu and the all tonkotsu ramen broth. Now it’s just painfully average and heartless chicken broth. The fact that I was crying made the waitress serving me feel real bad.
Complete change in menu, have no clue why they would go this route. This place went from having the best ramen in city to some flavourless soup. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed. Recent reviews show as well how bad this business move was.
The acquisition by Globefish is a huge disappointment. This is not the Muku it was anymore and will not bother going anymore.
Nice cute little place to eat ramen
DISCLAIMER! New Ownership as of February 1, 2024 - now owned by GLOBEFISH. As many of the recent reviews indicate, this place is no longer solely Muku - Globefish bought it out and in doing so, changed the menu and the quality has suffered immensely. Muku used to be one of my favourite underrated ramen spots in the city and it’s super sad to see it change over. The new Globefish change over mentioned on the door of cheaper costs and improved quality but that is a total farce. It’s more expensive and worse quality compared to the homey atmosphere it used to have. The ramen was average at best and the shrimp dumplings were awful, clearly from frozen. If you’re expecting Muku, you’ll be disappointed. Globefish is everywhere in the city and it is as average as it gets. Don’t bother and save your money.
This used to be our #1 favourite go-to spot for ramen. A few weeks ago they overhauled their menu and disappointingly it’s not even close to being the same level of flavour/richness and quality as prior to the change. My understanding is that they changed their menu to be more streamlined with their other locations. Unfortunately, their business decision to streamline (cut costs?) means they’ve lost my family as customers as we have found a different ramen restaurant since then to frequent. I did give Muku’s service and atmosphere 4/5 but food is only 2/5.
Absolutely hit the spot. Nice setting and service. Thank you !
