Ms. Ruby's Peach Cobbler Café Shallowford Road

This has to be the worst soul food restaurant I have ever ate at. This is it is better than this place. I ordered fried shrimp and double mac&cheese. The shrimp was so salty I had to take the breading off to make it editable. The mac&cheese taste like it's out the box with chunks of black pepper that you can crunch on. I also got a half slab of ribs that taste and look like it was boiled and put in the oven. The Chinese make better food than this. We have got to do better. I should have known when I saw the sign buy one meal half off second one. No successful soul food offers this.

The black eyed peas had NO seasoning. The prices are extremely high for what you get - I guess making up for the location being empty for about 3 years. The female staff is rude except to non melanated people. Place needs a lot of improvement if they want to make it through their lease. If you mess up black eyed peas, no reason for me to try anything else. They are in a good location right off the highway and an area that can bring Chamblee, Brookhaven, and other county employees, and other business people passing through. Instead they are going into Publix, Chinese Restaurant, and American Deli! Hire new staff and if it’s family, hire new staff. Do not allow anyone to ruin your business with their attitude. Once you revamp the staff and seasoning - market to let people know you are there. The reach could be far considering the location. Until changes are made, do not waste your money!

First off, I would like to start off by saying that this isn't the first time I've actually tried Miss Ruby's Peach Cobbler café . However, this is the first time we tried this location and we waited extremely long for food that wasn't close to good. I ordered a smothered turkey wing, with macaroni and cheese and cabbage. The food might look aesthetically pleasing but the rice was mushy and liquidy like milk rice, The cabbage tasted like sweet lettuce with a hint of cayenne pepper. And Good Lord that macaroni was horrific. If I was Keith Lee's cousin they would've been out of business yesterday. Very disappointing to such a great soul food chain. Maybe soul food isn't for them so they should add a twist But, this was absolutely horrible

Bad experience. Took my blind brother after dialysis. He was tired. There was a clear shift when he realized he was "different". He also overcharged him. Not to mention, my brother said the food was "trash". Bad service, overcharged, OVERPRICED and the food sucked? Would not recommend.

Bought a slice of choc cake. It turned about to be about $9+ . The server went on about the ingredients and how good it was. Turns out it was ONE thin layer of cake and the rest was choc mousse. Didn't taste homemade. More like Sam's Club...

Peach cobbler is good no doubt, but $10 for a little cup is outrageous. Ms Ruby needs to re-evaluate some of those prices. I love to support black business, but I dont enjoy overpriced food. Dinner and dessert will run you $30-$40 per person for a take out joint. Crazy!

First off I love me some soul food and this is worst of the bunch I have been too... I get the same thing every place I go and the price is way more expensive here .... The yams were bland as heck... The Mac and cheese was bland as heck.... The meatloaf was spicy? Lolol yooooo I got a couple dollars so I ain't even mad about the money I'm mad I drove 25min to try something new... I am not even going to eat my plate... Don't waste your money or like me your time.....I can usually just at least like it enough to eat the food but THE WORST SOUL FOOD SPOT. The meatloaf didn't even come with rice....

I’ve been to this 3 times and I guess the third times a charm. The lady was not too pleasant today (expected me to know). Then when I got home, the paper bag ripped and all the bean juice came out on me. Come on! Not coming back.

Absolutely terrible experience at this location. I placed an online order through UberEats and I had a clear receipt that tracked my order. It says the order was ready for pick up and I showed it to the host. She was clueless and did not know how to find my order on the system even after I showed her the receipt from Uber’s site. In the end she got frustrated because of her incompetence and I did not even receive food I paid for. Please get your system in order and properly teach your employees. She kicked me out and threatened to call the police even though I had a proper receipt. Great way to treat your customers.

Fried chicken is amazing. Crunchy as hell! Best Mac n cheese ever. For real!
