Birthday brunch celebration on a Saturday happy hearts and tummies family and friend friendly, great food (large portions) and flight mimosas
Great place to dine with friends and family! Everything was amazing, but the fried green tomatoes were definitely my favorite!
We wish there were half stars because really the food is above a 3, but not quite a 4. Some of the food was great, some not so good, which gave us an uneven experience. Standouts included the excellent fried chicken (some of the best we have had in the area), delicious cornbread, and a very tasty brisket sandwich. Disappointments included stewed okra that was basically tomatoes with just a bit of okra, and flat, rather flavorless buttermilk biscuits with liquid butter (yuck). Service was friendly and the ambiance was fine. There is a super cool room in the back of the restaurant with a wall that is decorated with all the dishware from the previous restaurant in that location. That is truly remarkable and it's worth taking a closer look.
Nice meal. Salad was good. Person with me didn't like her meatloaf. I thought the flavor was good, just a little dry. She said the coconut pie was good. She loves Banana pudding but they only had banana pudding cheesecake. She will try that next time.
I was there for an event for 30 people at lunch. They were quick with the food, hot and staff was very good.
We got alot of yummy food!
The grits is alright but the sausage is nasty and the boild peanuts
