Don’t let the word pub fool you, this is a really elevated and class spot that’s a staple of Old Market. The lavosh is a must - a unique flatbread that they knock out of the park.
Had dinner their last night. Positives, the service was good. The Pork egg rolls were tasty. Negatives. At the prices they are charging, the rest of the food was subpar. The popper dip was average. The side salads were some of the worst I have ever seen and its $3.25 to upgrade to a Ceaser salad. My Omaha grill was okay, and my wife said her pot roast was okay, but not very warm.
My wife and I have a lot of fond memories of our experiences at this restaurant. Great food, A+ service and a romantic atmosphere.
Ruben sandwich came with a tasty sauce, but the meat was chewy, actually difficult to tear through on certain bites. and some of the corned beef was pink, and somsomewas grey. stomach doesn't quite feel right after that sandwich. Friendly staff but pretty slow service that they actually apologized for. Not sure what the kitchen was dealing with, but it was obviously not a great night for them.
Cool place. The charcuterie plate was disappointing though
Stuffy vibe, rude waiter, eh food. White affluent older people seem to love it.
