The fried rice may have been the freshest I ever had and the shrimp was just OK. I was expecting everything to be cooked for a minute or two longer judging by the pictures. The dish was a little overpriced, but I am just one opinion. I will say the whole Urban Hawker space is a cool concept, the space just needs to add a community free water station.
first time tried Singaporean Fried Rice. This place looks amazing and foods were great. however, the chef here has a temper issue. I don’t know what he was so upset about he yelling to his coworkers whole time even when people were ordering and many of them decided to pursue other restaurants or even get out of this place. He was yelling it without any attention to the scene he was making that everybody had to avoid the area. I was already eating so I couldn't leave but I would've left if I knew that would've been the condition Good idea to pick up but not to dine in
Overpriced and flavorless. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and for nearly $20 I expected more than a large serving of a mediocre side dish. The shrimp was cooked well but no flavor, the rice was just rice and eggs over a small bed of lettuce. The rice was okay, not totally burnt but not what I was expecting at all. Serving size was large and despite the lack of flavor I ate it to keep myself from feeling guilty over the cost.
I had the fried rice with salmon. How they picture it in the menu is different from how it was served. The sauce on the side doesn’t complement the salmon. I was expecting a broiled/grilled salmon like how they presented it in their menu. What I liked most was the fried rice hence the name of the restaurant.
I got the shrimp paste chicken fried rice (no 5) and it was really good
The so-called No.1 Signature Fried Rice was hardly wok-fried. It was more like soy sauce mixed with rice with overdosed of MSG. Appalling and a joke they call themselves Mr. Fried Rice.
Rice was dry, fish was average. Very different product compared to their picture menu
The signature fried rice was 16 dollars...the fried rice plus a caned so da was 20 bucks...ok it is a expensive location but for a food court style place it is just brutal. The food is fine but it is so incredibly expensive. While the entire food court is expensive, they still stand out from the rest.
