100% coming back. Somehow they've elevated the humble bangers and mash to a whole other level! Absolute comfort food, perfect portions, dining out with a real homemade feel. We felt very looked after by all the staff too.
Classic British food, bangers and mash was delicious, finished off with some chocco pudds and apple crumble - can't go wrong here. Service was none existent. We arrived at around 18:00 as a walk-in, waited a few minutes to be accepted by one of the staff, he acknowledged our lack of reservation and provided us with a table. The table was previously dressed with glasses filled with tap water and odd numbered cutlery which my partner and I thought was quite unusual. After an 8-10 minute wait a lady approached us and asked us whether we had a reservation, when she learned that we were a walk-in, she said that they were fully reserved for the evening, yet still passed us the menu (saying "I don't know why he sat you here"). I over heard the staff congregating and debating about us and how the table was reserved... The staff member who greeted us arrived to our table and rudely said "go on tell me." We paused briefly and were in disbelief of how we were spoken to. Nevertheless we persevered, had our order taken and waited... Drinks arrived quickly - probably since the drink fridge was located directly behind us. Food arrived a good 8-10 minute later, that was after almost receiving the order of neighbouring diners... No complaints on the food, as discussed at the start, it was tasty. We then had desserts which were a lovely finish to the meal. Upon finishing, it took two staff members to drop the bill off at our tables and a further 15 minutes for the bill to be paid. Honestly, had we no morals its safe to say we probably could have left the building without paying and those working wouldn't have had noticed.
