Really nice restaurant with good food and service. Recommend the Yakisoba.
This place was so busy that we were told that we only had 90 mins to dine in even with a reservation. We had the sashimi platter, the aburi flight and the negitoro roll. Portions were small and would not recommend negitoro roll for there was very little fish. Items tasted fresh but it could not really justify the high prices. We visited this place because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews but were fairly disappointed. Overall it was just average. Edited for conclusion & response - The reason for giving 3 stars is not the 90-min dining duration policy, which the restaurant defended so strongly for below. I stated that as a matter of fact from our experience only, so the long paragraph was unwarranted.
Very very good. Great for lunch and under a very reasonable price. Seriously should be talked about more. And the staff were incredibly nice, showing up when needed and going out of their way to make us feel at home.
Fun lunch spot in the heart of Ballard Avenue. Dropped in during the Sunday farmer's market and was rewarded with prompt and friendly service and surprisingly good value. Highly recommend the lunchtime Bento box specials. Highly recommended. Kid-friendly too.
This is our go-to sushi spot. The fish is regularly fresh and they routinely have king salmon on the menu, letting us eschew farm-raised Atlantic salmon (which, for us Westcoasters, should be shunned). They also have a solid sake list and a great Japanese whisky list.
This is one of my favorite places. Excellent sushi and Japanese bar food, including good vegetarian and gluten-free options. Atmosphere is casual but posh in an unintimidating way. Always my choice for birthday dinner.
