Morgenstern's BANANAS

This Morgansterns used to be my favorite ice cream in the city, but since switching to BANANAS non-dairy, unfortunately this is now in the "meh" category. Used to be such a creative and well-executed establishment, but I fear they've killed the golden goose

The ice creams are disgusting ngl. It's not even ice cream, it's like frozen sirup. I only went there to buy a soda can to get some Blackbird points but my account ended up being banned for no reason so now there is no point in going back. Staff is pretty cool tho.

EDIT: We were overcharged by the man behind the counter. I emailed them, and we got a refund for the overcharge difference. We paid $14 for this? We ordered and received a Regular (medium) size, which the menu clearly states you get two flavors in the cup. But we were charged $14, and when we asked about it, the man at the counter just said “It’s two flavors”. I mean, isn’t that the definition of a scam? To claim you get 2 flavors for $7 but then charge $14 when we order it?

Cute interior with many seats. The “ice cream” tasted more like a thick sorbet.

Ice cream was quite flavorless. Got the ube cookies and cream and coconut thai tea.

Bananas offers non dairy soft serve with different toppings. I highly recommend the Banana Vanilla. It's creamy and delicious ice cream alternative. Absolutely fantastic. The other flavor I tried was the Ube which felt more like sorbet.

This place is not good. Product is total junk - tasteless. Plus marketing is convoluted. Bring back the real ice cream

Very disappointed with the new concept. I miss when they had the many unique flavors. Four soft serve options did not interest me. I remember a line out the door at this place, why did they change a good thing? Make the hike down Houston over to the other location where they haven’t stopped doing what they’re good at.
