First time going to a pub. Good and service was excellent, didn’t have to wait long for a seat or for them to take our order. We ordered the nachos and rootine. Never had kangaroo meat before but I loved it. Wish I had more room in me to eat the whole thing. The jalapeños in the nachos were so fresh juicy and crunchy. Packed a lot of heat. Salsa was very fresh as well and had great flavor. Was very loud but had a great fun. Just a lot of people enjoying themselves . Would 100% come back next time we’re in Vancouver again. 10/10.
It's in the basement ,,very pub feel crazy huge space youd have no idea from the road and some good beer and appy specials ,, they should get a better sign out front very hard to spot but would definitely bring a group on down here for a party
I went shortly after opening on a Tuesday and it was quiet. Service was quick though. I ordered the 6 Chicken Strips (although they would probably be more accurately described as Chicken Fingers), which came with their House Mixed Greens and French Fries. I also ordered Garlic Aioli Dip on the side, which I highly recommend for the fries. Speaking of which, the French fries were fried to perfection, I'm not usually a fan of thick cut fries but they did it well. It's still crisp yet soft on the inside. The House Dressing for the Mixed Green was a bit too heavy for me (this coming from a person who ordered all this fried food for lunch).. The chicken strips were a tad bit underwhelming, it seems that this specific area of downtown like to over fry and over batter their chicken and prawn. The Honey Mustard dip was quite standard, perhaps more richer than what you would find premade. I think the salad could use fresher ingredients but it is a pub after all. I would definitely recommend coming to this lovely hidden gem for their happy hours from 4-7PM.
I didn’t know what to expect. Got there, sit at the bar, food was good and service awesome.
Friendly staff, attentive service, great Aussie pub food and atmosphere!
