Moonstone Baking Co.

Our big group came to Austin this last weekend for my son's graduation. We wanted to pre-order something for breakfast in for the morning after the ceremonies. We found the small, independent Moonstone Baking online - pics of the food looked great and the reviews were all positive. Why not give it a shot? Well, wow! We were not disappointed. We got kolaches and cinnamon rolls. The kolaches were really great - good size, good ingredients - very tasty. But i must say the unexpected stars of the show were the cinnamon rolls. We are, frankly, cinnamon roll snobs and aren't often blown away by new ones we try. Folks, this is how you do a cinnamon roll. They were awesome. The dough, the sweetness, the texture - just right, even the outer rings/layers that are often discarded are not to be missed. And then the pinnacle, the center of this roll. My God. So delicious and perfect. Sadly, the rolls are all gone now and we miss them. Don't wait for a special occasion, just treat yourself and get some. You will not be disappointed.
