Monterrey Mexican Restaurant

The food was amazing. Almost too much for the price. They could have filled our glasses sooner. Did give me a to go cup when I was finally offered a refill.

Today was my 1st time at this place. My waitress was Martha and she absolutely made my dining experience great. She is an excellent waitress - friendly, kind, personable and caring. I ordered the lunch fajitas with chicken and corn tortillas. My food came out fast and tasted so good. They also gave me 4 corn tortillas with my meal. Prices are very reasonable. I will definitely go back. Very nice restaurant and great customer service!

I really hope the owners see this review. I hope they turn this place around because it has been on our rotation for a long time. As a customer of a fast casual restaurant, I only want 3 things: 1) Hot food served at the same time. 2) Decent service, with a waiter/waitress that shows up more than just to take an order and deliver the check. 3) Decent tasting food. Meaning, has some flavor, has decent quality and worth the cost. Not asking for Michelin rated, just decent. Our last experience failed terribly. It was a complete waste of money. 1. Food was delivered cold. 2. Salad was wet. As in, wet lettuce. So much so that water pooled at the bottom of the bowl. Yuk. 3. Didn't get any dressing. Waitress never even asked what I wanted. 4. Had to wave someone down to ask for salad dressing. 5. A man, which appeared to the be the manager, just stopped at the table and stared at me. I said can I get some salad dressing. He ran off. Didn't say "sorry we missed that", didn't ask "what kind do you want". Nothing. Just ran off. 6. We got part of our order first, fajita plate. Then 10 mins later the rest. So, meat went cold. 7. Finally got salad dressing. Not what I wanted, had to ask again. 8. Salad dressing was a packet of off the shelf brand tossed on the table. 9. The food was mostly inedible. Fajitas were burned, tortillas were dry and stiff, tacos were cold and tasteless, salad was wet and nothing but lettuce. 10. Our waitress was missing the whole time. 11. She finally appeared at the end when it was time to pay the bill. She was chatting us up I assume hoping for a good tip. Good try but no. 12. We had to wave people down the whole time. Other tables in the dining area looked pretty frustrated as well. 13. This was not a busy time of the day. We used to love this place and it was on our regular rotation. Unfortunately, not any more. I sincerely hope the owners fix the problems. If I start seeing glowing reviews we'll try again. But for now, not going to spend our hard earned money here.
