Incredible staff who made exceptional cocktails. They managed to fit us in last minute, making us feel very welcome whilst we waited for the table to free up. The food itself was exceptional. Some of the best venison and risotto I've ever tasted. The staff were very friendly and very kind. They made a birthday very special for my partner.

Great little find along the Royal mile. I booked through Rae who was very friendly over the phone and just as nice when welcoming me. The cocktails were superb and the food was excellent. I had the scallops to start and the haggis neeps and tatties for main which was so tasty. All the staff were excellent and clearly well trained. Barman did great cocktails too. Would def come back again.

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere. One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever enjoyed. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Went in for drinks after getting lost. Friendly staff who know their drinks. Good and cosy vibes. Perfect to catch up with friends or just a late night date. Loved it so much went twice during my short Edinburgh stay

The food was good. The service was kinda slow side but very friendly. Loved its haggis and steak tartar. Kid-friendliness: Younger than 5yo is not allowed.

I always like to treat myself to one really nice dinner when solo traveling, and this time it was Monteiths! I came in on Thursday night but the kitchen was closed, but I couldn’t get the amazing menu out of my head so I came back Friday evening and they were able to squeeze me in (fully booked otherwise, though! definitely should make a reservation!). I had the best meal with the most amazing service. The next time I find myself in Edinburgh, I most certainly will return!!

From start to finish, this dinner was a delight! Dayna, our server made the evening that much more enjoyable. The food was prepared to perfection, the service had perfect timing, not too fast, not too slow and the food and cocktails were spot on! We will be back!
