I took a friend here who's basically Japanese and she said it was pretty authentic. I thought it was tasty, totally worth going out of the way for this ramen. And way better than Furious what's their face and not that far away from the Milwaukee/Fullerton Furious Spoon.

I’ve had a lot of ramen and this spot isn’t quite as good as I was hoping. Could just be me preferring pork to beef in my ramen but the broth wasn’t as rich as I hoped. Good but not great!

The steak was awesome, great quality, lightly seared, fantastic sauce on a bed of micro greens and tomatoes.

I've been looking forward to trying out Monster Ramen for some time now and here is my overall honest review. I came here during dinner time just before their dinner rush hour. To start off, the staff here are friendly, however, the service that I received was disappointing and frustrating. It took roughly about 10 minutes for me to place my order after being seated. Then it took another 20 minutes for me to finally receive my monster ramen that I had ordered. What made this process frustrating was that I noticed other customers that had ordered after me were receiving their order first and foremost. The customers to my left and to right placed their food order at about the same time as I did, and they received their dinner within 8 minutes. When I finally received my monster ramen, I noticed that the Wagyu slice was barely cooked by the broth. It was quite an unpleasant sight to look at after discovering it. Once I started digging into my monster ramen, I was met with dissatisfaction. In my humble opinion, the ramen tasted average at best, and there was nothing special about it. I didn't even finish the entire bowl either. I don't think it's worth $30. I have had way better ramen than the ramen here at Monster Ramen. Overall, if you're looking for an actual authentic Japanese ramen, this is certainly not the place. But if you're looking for a fusion style ramen, then Monster Ramen could be what you're looking for.

Realistically this place is between a 3.5 and a 4. While the broth is good, the noodles are cooked perfectly, the topping choice is odd. The red onion or maybe shallot in the noodles aren't able to cook down enough to really fit in ramen. The beef is good, but the egg is served whole? The entire of the egg as a result is incredibly cold. While the noodles are cooked an excellent el dente, thicker noodles would be appreciated. But not really marking against them for that, can't expect selectable noodle thickness in the US. The biggest issue here is this isn't a better bowl of ramen then what else you can get, but it is a more expensive bowl of ramen. Unfortunately, i would put this on the bottom between this and the other ramen off the blue line, except for furious spoon. Too much focus seems to be on plating, which who cares, it's ramen. Taste is king by about a million miles. And the price of booze? $11 for a can? I didn't get the $7 asahi, but if that's not on tap that is nuts. Service was fine. It was busy, and wait staff was attentive.

Very average and disappointing. The gyoza was good and soft. I got the monster ramen and I didn't like the broth at all. Also the egg was cold in the middle, and the ground beef didn't taste good. The waygyu beef was good and the veggies fresh. My girlfriend got the Miso Waygyu and it was ok, better than mine for sure. Service and atmosphere really nice. Overall it's very average and for the price not worth it. I don't know why it's so overhyped.

Agree that the food is good but nothing outstanding as some reviews might suggest. Portions are generous.
