When is Monrovia reopening? The food here is fire and been waiting for restaurant to come back. Haven’t found any fish that’s a match for this place

there jollof rice was a gift from a friend and it was amazing and had just the right amount of spiciness and flavor. I was just wondering when you guys would reopen again, because it has been almost a year. please and thank you

It appears that this restaurant is no longer in business. Edit: My original review was left over 4 weeks ago. There was no notice of temporary or permanent closure at the time of our visit — I make a habit of checking business hours of operation prior to making long commutes. Unfortunately, we didn’t know that the establishment was closed until after we had walked all the way upstairs and read the notice that was stuck to the window of this restaurant. There was no mention at all of any plan to reopen or a change of location. I look forward to this place reopening its doors, so that I may update my review; however, based solely on the feedback I received from my first review, it seems that the chef is very rude and combative. Change my mind.

As the only Liberian restaurant in Dallas, 5 stars. The shopping center and building itself isn't first-class, but as a Liberian myself, the food here is the real deal. I had dry rice, cassava leaf (for take out) and fried plantains. My husband, who is American, tried their food for the first time and was VERY impressed. The owners are down to earth and everything was served with clean silverware. Worth a visit at least once if you are curious.

If you want good, authentic Liberian/West African food, then go to Monrovia Lounge. Very friendly atmosphere with good music.

Beautiful place, the food is delicious, and the service is always great. Go check them out. ❤️

I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 100 STARS! LETS TALK ABOUT THE VIBE FIRST! It was so nice and chill! They had some great music playing! We were greeted as soon as we walked into the place! My heart was very happy when I was told they served casava leaf soup! OOOOOMG AND NOW TO THE FOOD!!! THE CASAVA LEAF SOUP WAS SOOOOO FREAKING GOOD! Omg I didn’t want to talk to annnnnyone! I just wanted to eat lol!THE HUSBAND AND WIFE WORKED SOOOOO WELL TOGETHER! They made sure my family and I were pleased and comfortable! WE WILL DEFF BE COMING BACK OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!!! Kid-friendliness: Our kids enjoyed being able to play on the pool table!

The food here is amazing! I come here at least once a week. I love the staff and how clean it is. The customer service is amazing! You need to visit this place! The best African restaurant in the DFW! Thank you guys for the good food and excellent customer service.
