Chicken wasn't cook correctly and the dumplings were burned.
It took 4 minutes for someone to realize we had walked in and waited to be seated, and once we were we sat there for over ten minutes watching other tables get served, and received side eye from the wait staff when we looked their way as they passed by. It smelled amazing in there, I bet the food is great. Really was looking forward to this, but we eventually walked out and instead went to Post where we had beers in hand minutes after walking in.
Got a carry of two meals. Both Bulgogi dishes had rib eye meat that was inedible due to sinewy and stingy fat throughout each piece. Absolutely disgusting and a waste of money. One meal was 19 dollars the other was 18 dollars, ridiculous!
Ordered the 5pc tenderloins, dumplings, and buldak ramen for takeout. It was ready for pickup in just 15 mins! The buldak ramen was decent and a large size. The noodles were quite spicy (but not super flavorful), and the seasoning on the popcorn chicken on top was sweet, but I liked it. The dumplings were good, but came with no dipping sauce! The chicken tenders are a classic and were delicious, but were smaller than usual and also didn't include the extra dipping sauce that we requested. Overall I like this place a lot. I have eaten in and taken out before, and unfortunately the takeout experience is iffy. On this experience, I'd rate it 3 stars. But considering some more positive past experiences, I'll give a 4.
01/27 Saturday night around 6ish went to check out mono mono wanted to try something new with friends. friendly staff was a plus but our waitress was a younger lady she brought us margaritas with fruit flies in them I let her know she said she would make us a new one she did but I was not interested in drinking it at that point we were still charged for them after that. We got our food loved the seasoned fries and tenders. while I'm eating our waitress is sneezing in her hands were the food comes out grabs someone's food with out washing her hands. someone please help her with basic hygiene because it was pretty good food i just cant go back after that
Just all around delicious. Everything we ordered was exceptionally tasty. The hot and spicy wings were amazing, as were our chicken sandwiches. Super friendly staff and nice location. Can't wait to come back! Update 1/21/2024: Still amazing. Every item on the menu was intended to taste incredible as a standalone. Definitely a great gem in Lafayette
Our first and last trip to Mono Mono this evening. Had been looking forward to finally visiting, but had the worst dining experience in recent memory. I feel bad for the lone, overwhelmed host/server who was doing everything he could by himself. Saw lots of other tables looking around for service. Ordered two beers, kimchi fries, and signature wings. The kimichi fries weren't fries at all. They were greasy, soggy tater tots with barely any kimchi and no scallions. Arrived without silverware and I had to stand in line with other customers at the counter who also took it upon themselves to get help for what they needed (waters, checks, etc.). I asked if the fries were supposed to be fries or tater tots and the server said half and half. I told him there were no fries at all and he said they must have ran out... Okay? Then disclose that before you serve us something completely different. Had to ask for our beers again after the food was already served. The wings were awful and came without the carrots and celery. Ordered half soy garlic and half hot teriyaki. Unfortunately, there was no difference in flavors, and all the wings tasted like fish sauce. By far the worst Korean fried chicken I've ever had. Gummy skin and not crispy at all. With so many other dining choices in the area that offer consistent and above average to excellent service and food, we will definitely not be back to Mono Mono. Absolutely disappointing.
The food is excellent, the staff is cool!
Ate here on a whim while getting my tires swapped out down the road. Service was impeccable and the food was tasty. Will come back again.
