Monell's At the Manor

We were a group of 30 people it was wonderful no waiting for seating meal was incoming and definitely delicious. It was hot and the staff was great. Will definitely go again Parking: We went to the one on Murfreesboro Road No problem to park all the cars close to entrance,had a great time comfortable atmosphere and GREAT service with delicious food and drink

I really hate to see this go. Good thing there are other locations. But being family style is what makes it so fun!

I would have sworn my mom, my grandma and great grandmother were all back in the kitchen. The food is served family style and if you have less than enough guests to fill a large table, you are seated with other diners to truly experience family dining. The food is plentiful and delicious and if you leave here hungry, something is wrong. Must haves?? Skillet fried chicken, greens and corn pudding. It's a damn shame their last day of operations is Easter Sunday 2024 at this location. The city owns the property and is razing the location to expand the neighboring runways at the airport. We were only in town for 3 days, but ate here twice. Thank you for the wonderful experience and best wishes on contiuing the Monell's tradition at a new location.

So my experience was unique and these folks were fantastic so I wanted to take a minute to thank them and leave a review. I have mast cell disease which causes me to have over 30 food allergies, so unfortunately there was nothing on the menu I could eat. However, we are in town with a conference group and they wanted to try Monel's and I didn't want to miss out on seeing a beautiful historic landmark or time with good people. I called to ask if it would be possible if I came if I could just order a drink and not be charged for food since I couldn't eat. Patience answered the phone and her name matches her personality as she was so sweet and patient. She checked with the manager who was kind enough to say that would be okay. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making an exception as my husband wasn't going to leave me behind and it was a neat experience for us both. My husband is a picky eater but he loved the biscuits, gravy and fried chicken, which is SUPER high praise coming from him. So, I think it's safe to say if you want a traditional southern meal, this would definitely be the place to go! Please note, this is family style dining, similar to Thanksgiving in that food is put on the table and is passed around and serve yourself from a communal bowl and you share the table with strangers, so if that isn't your "thing" you may want to choose something different.

The food is soooo good and the family style seating allowed usto meet several interesting folks. Wonderful experience!
