Fantastic Food in a wonderful environment with one of the most friendly staffs you’ll find in New York. In addition to the noodles, try the Crispy Potatoes, Spicy Cucumbers, Chicken Wings & any special they have on the board. They also make one of my favorite desserts in the city- the Matcha Chocolate Tart. Cocktails are great too! They have really great seasonal ones in addition to classics like a Toki Highball. We love Momofuku Uptown!!
Super friendly staff who were willing to accommodate 4 of us + a baby for a weeknight dinner. Food was amazing and drinks were even better. Kid-friendliness: Baby was allowed to sit in high chair at chefs bar, but I heard the hostess tell another parent that they couldn’t accommodate high chairs at the regular tables (maybe because of walking room reasons?)
Ramen was ok. Noodles were good but the meat and the broth were just ok. The smoked pork belly tasted like ham. Also on the pricier side even for New York City ramen.
The ramen was way too rich and heavy for me. And the fried chicken was way too salty. The shrimp buns were more agreeable. Service and atmosphere were good though. The bartender was friendly.
Finaly got the chance to try out the famous momofuku! Lets start with food. We order some kimchi, potatoes, shrimp buns, ramen and cold noodle. Kimchi was amazing! Compared to the classic traditional kimchi, theres no after taste and semi spicy. The shrimp buns were amazing as it was cook and grilled to perfection. The bun and shrimp ratio is perfect as usually the bun overshadow the meat but not at momofuku. The potatoes however i personally didnt like it that much. Just weird. For main dish: Ramen was tasty but too much burned taste from the pork. The pork was very decent size but to my personal taste, smelt to burnt. The spicy cold noodle was very good but beware as it is very very spicy. Service was great. My water was always fulled! They came to check on us multiple times! They did forget my coke but our main guy make up for it. The milk tea is a must as well. Atmosphere was very pleasant. We sat at bar so we had a chance to enjoy the chef in action To conclude, not a classic japanese ramen place. More converge to america
Good service & atmosphere, but the food, unfortunately, did not deliver.
$30 for ok ramen that had a hair in it after a 45 minute wait. Not worth the money or time. The servers were friendly.
