We were in town for All Star weekend. Hours of business said they were open. We Uber to the business and it’s closed. No heads up at all. The locals say it’s typical of this establishment.
Came in for dinner with my Fiancé for the first and last time. We waited a bit after first entering only to be ignored. He peeked into the dining area to make sure we weren’t meant to seat ourselves, which garnered annoyance from the staff who finally acknowledged our presence. The food was subpar. The only thing that stuck out was the gyoza (which was fantastic) and the horrendous service. Got told we were only allowed to grill the meat as they took away our grill plate because I tried to char a few pieces of broccoli. To top it off, we were charged a mandatory tip that we were never made aware of at any point. Only noticed it from the receipt copy we were given— adding insult to not only were we shamed loudly in the middle of the restraint, but we were followed out into our car where the woman in charge checked his pockets and tried to go thru our car accusing him of stealing from their drink cooler because my fiancé was curious of their soju selection on his way out
Bought a Groupon and had to return it because the place apparently doesn't exist anymore. Open sign in the window, hours of business posted, doors locked. Took myself to His Place to celebrate.
The food was seasoned well! Yet the employee taking the orders was confrontational with a customer that was from out of town, creating discomfort in the already cramped space. Improving the order delivery system would alleviate this issue, as the current process seems tailored primarily to regular customers. I would go again! We went on 11/12/2023
One of The best Soulfood places. I love love love their breakfast (salmon croquettes) rice and fried potatoes
