Modish Restaurant & Bar

I'm sitting here at this restaurant right now. I came here to celebrate my birthday with my close friends. The process to get a reservation at this place was a little complicated since you had to wait up to 72 hours to get a response back. I came here for brunch and everyone at my table is underwhelmed with their food and with the service. I had the chicken and waffles and my waffle was so dry and my chicken was overcooked. Someone at my table ordered the breakfast bagel and it had tomatoes on it even though the menu didn't say anything about tomatoes on the sandwich. The shrimp and grits were bland. The rib eye was under seasoned and the service didn't try to match up to the quality of food that we received. They ended up giving us crab butter for our waffles. Unfortunately, two of the patrons poured that crab butter on their waffles and was unable to finish their food. All in all, I'm glad that the drinks are good because this will be the only reason I would ever come back to this place. I really wanted to give this place a chance and now that I have it's unfortunate that I'm unlikely to return. Also, water is bottled and $5.

Emani was everything. I came in from Charlotte and if I could steal her and bring her back with me babe I will. Great service hands down.

Food taste amazing! Oxtail egg rolls and bang bang shrimp BUSS ! The DJ was lit on a Saturday too! My waiter was Imani and she was very helpful with the menu options. Beautiful inside the place as well!

Good food, good vibes. Deff needs more recognition and it’s not my first time so I didn’t just get lucky. But Imani was super amazing, attentive and suggestive which is everything I look for in a server! If you haven’t been here yet, you need too.

Enrique the bartender makes the best lemon drops. He’s cool and vibe is great. We will definitely be back to see him… Tip him good he’s worth it…
