Visited several times while in town. Preferred it over Mike’s and Bova’s. The original cannoli and ricotta pie was amazing. And they had the best cappuccino over other places that I tried.

It took me waiting 16 minutes in line just to get an sfogliatella BUT it was so worth it. It looks like just a piece of bread but when you bite into the crunchy, flakey outside and into the ricotta interior, there's an explosion of flavors in your mouth. There is some kind of spice in the sfogliatella, too, that I could taste. I see now what the hype is all about. It made for the perfect merenda. The bakers really care about their craft. I wanted to get more stuff but turns out (I should have known this) they are cash only (no tax on the sfogliatella though). So come prepared with cash!

One of the best spots for Italian pastries. So much better than similar places in the North End

Pretty nice cannolis here! I got some mini cannolis with vanilla custard and ricotta. Both were pretty nice, though very hard for me to differentiate from other cannolis I've had (not a bad thing; I've liked the cannolis I've had around town). I think because this place has other stuff than cannolis, and because it didn't have a crazy of a line when I went (and there was seating), I might prefer this over Mike's Pastry nearby.

Definitivamente, el canoli es su producto bandera. Tuve oportunidad de probar en Mikes y Modern. Me quedo con Modern! Un punto a favor es que uno puede personalizar el producto, la masa estuvo muy crujiente y la pasta muy deliciosa! Yo creo que deberia mejorar la rapidez en la atencion, ya que las colas son muy largas! Y tambien, deberian aceptar otros medios de pagos como tarjetas (solo aceptan cash)

The cashier made my chocolate cannoli and I saw her grab it bare handed and then return to handling money. I honestly didn’t know what to say I was in shock but in hindsight that was gross as hell

Location cult, dolci golosi e da leccarsi i baffi. Finalmente un caffè degno di essere chiamato tale. Personale attento e cordiale. In orario di punta la fila è piuttosto lunga. Consigliato!

Best Cannoli in North End... or at least top 3!
