Modern Bread and Bagel

A fantastic gluten-free bakery offering a wide range of alternatives for breakfast and lunch. You can definitely taste the quality of the meal prepared because they employ a fantastic combination of fresh ingredients. We received a bagel topped with tomato and arugula and a smashed avocado. Since it's difficult to find gluten-free restaurants, this is a must-visit for those who haven't previously.

Good bagels, good vibes and music. But the brunette girl doing takeaway orders was extremely rude to me picking up a take out order and the other delivery workers picking up Grub Hub orders. I understand it was hectic for a Sunday morning but no need for the attitude. She was nicer to all the white customers but when I came around she gave me attitude, ignored my requests and left my coffee sitting there cold. She made no effort to help me. I explained that she was giving me an attitude. She was rude to all the delivery workers picking up orders as well. If you live in New York (an extremely diverse place) how could you be so cold to People of Color? Please consider talking to her. I’ve been coming here for awhile and have always had a lovely time ordering and talking to staff since I live around the corner. I love the music and staff normally but I cannot believe the attitude and racism I experienced and the other workers coming in. I will now reconsider if this is the people you hire. Don’t really want to be discriminated against!

So I ordered bread for friends on a Thursday. I never heard back from the company until the next Monday stating they will let me know sometime this week when the bread will go out to be delivered. The customer service is horrible. On other occasions the 2 stores I went to were understaffed. I still have not heard from them via email when and if the order I placed will be taken care. It is Tuesday of the next week. Who's running the ship where is the owner/manager?

I had blackened mahi with turmeric cauliflower and sweet potato. All excellent. My daughter who is celiac was very happy to find another gluten-free restaurant and to have french fries! Great place if you don't have time for normal restaurant service. Order at counter and they bring food to you.
