Mochinut | San Mateo

i've been going to mochinut for years and not once have i encountered the disrespect like i did a few days ago. all my previous experiences at this location have been positive--kind workers and delicious food. yet, a few days ago i went up to a kiosk in hopes of ordering mochi donuts. the second i walked up to the kiosk, a worker named abby came up to me. she became completely hostile and made me feel unsafe at this location as i was the only one present in the store. i don't think i'll ever return to the store, which is so unfortunate considering how much i loved their food.

Hello,I love going to mochinut,it’s great and all the other staff is great,except this one person,Abby,she kicked me out because simply she said,she doesn’t like my girlfriend,that’s all,there’s no context,she was incredibly rude and mean and I did not enjoy my experience,keep in mind we were just there to get the boba.I would really like to speak to the manager but she didn’t let me saying “this is my work place and I won’t serve you because I don’t like your girlfriend.

Absolutely horrible service, i love Mochinut, this is the closest place to my house and I used to love coming here. But I came to this location about a week ago and I had a horrible experience with a worker named Abby. She was so incredibly rude and even hostile towards me. I felt very unsafe and belittled by her. She was so rude basically throwing my order at me. Never coming back, so unfortunate.

Ordered with the Too Good To Go. I've ordered using Too Good To Go at other restaurants before and had a great experience but not here with Mochinut. Mochinut posted at around 7:50pm saying that I could pick up between 8-8:15pm. I immediately ordered and rushed there. When I was walking to the store at 8:06pm, they canceled my order saying that there was nothing left. I was disappointed but understood that if there's no leftovers, my order could be canceled. However, that same night at around 8:50pm they had another post to pick up at 9-9:15pm. That means that they did have leftovers or they were just scamming to get people to their store and then cancel on them. Then I saw again at around 10:50pm that they had posted again. I wanted to rate them on the too good to go site, where they had a 4.8/5, but since they canceled my order, I couldn't post. It was a waste of time and gas but the worst was that it felt like a lie.

The only downfall of this place is the parking, or lack of parking, I should say. However, once you find a spot, visit this place, as it's closed off at both corners. Then you order yourself the hot cheeto covered corn dogs! You're welcome

The cup of ube matcha soft served can definitely be shared between two people. It was sooo good nonetheless! You also can’t go wrong with the mochinuts. We got smores, cinnamon sugar, passion fruit (my fav!), white chocolate, & milk tea! Will definitely be frequenting this shop!

Must try Raspberry Ube Pina Colada

I don't understand why they can't sell mochi donuts individually. It actually makes no sense. They're turning away business because they insist on selling in bulk packs of 3. There are so many better options available.
