My colleague treated me to lunch here today Tuesday, March 19th for my birthday. I had the oxtails with rice and peas and cabbage and a side of plantain. The oxtails were not tender and small. The oxtail gravy was watery. The plantains were flat and had too much salt on them. My colleague had a curry veggie plate. Needless to say the food was just okay. Definitely not the best Jamaican food I’ve ever eaten. I’m reading all of these other reviews now I’m really disappointed that I didn’t have the same tasty experience. My oxtails needed to be cooked longer because the meat was tough, hard to pull away from the bones and not much meat on them for the price.
I love Jamaican food. I live more in the Smyrna area so I typically eat at a place on my side of town but wanted to venture out. Everything was pleasing as far as presentation and the jerk chicken was great! The love Language drink was presented so cute. The only downside in comparison to the place I go to was the prices.
The food was absolutely delicious! I think the ketchup was even homemade, this place is like top 10 fav!! Vegetarian options: The coconut curry veggie wrap
Home sweet home!! Food, atmosphere, music and staff are all amazing! My number one dish is the oxtails and don’t forget the house-made rum punch.
Excellent service and food
