We had their Pho Ga, a comforting chicken soup with flat rice noodles, and the Bun Bo Hue, a Central Vietnamese-style beef soup enriched with pork and thin rice noodles. Feeling a bit under the weather, the Pho Ga worked wonders in soothing my body. Generously accompanied by the fresh veggies, as shown in the photo, Pro tip: Be prepared with cash, as it's the only form of payment accepted."

Wow this place has friendly staff I got Banh uot and it so delicious and fresh

I've lived in the Bay for 4+ years, and this is the best Vietnamese (and perhaps any cuisine) restaurant in the city. The food is incredible, the value is there and you can't beat supporting a family-run joint.

The attention to every minute detail speaks for itself at this Tenderloin noodle house with a wide selection of broths. The hu tieu mi — pork, shrimp and two kinds of noodles — brings together everything one could want in a single bowl. For a contrast in texture, try the hu tieu nam vang that comes with a crispy fried shrimp pancake. The bun mang vit — duck and bamboo with thin noodles — had a clean tasting broth well-accompanied by a savory fish sauce for dipping. All soups are served with a plate of paddy herbs not seen in other Vietnamese restaurants. The light blue, 1960s retro decor and local clientele grabbing a bite before or after work made the meal all the more warming — staying true to its culinary genre: Vietnamese comfort food.

I got the number 7 (clear noodle soup) and it was SO delicious. The portion is large, service is very friendly, and most importantly, the food freaking rocks! Can't recommend this place enough. I wish I took a photo before I dug in!
