If I could, I'd give -5 stars for the following reasons: 1) ridiculously over priced for tasteless/salty/fatty/unhealthy tiny portions of foods that you may or may not get after waiting for a minimum of 30 minutes 2)getting a table with(out) reservation sadly a horror scene (we waited almost two hours without a reservation, one hour with a reservation) 3) bad customer service Don't be fooled by what you see on social media, you will definitely regret throwing your money down the drain! There are so many restaurants around there with good foods and normal prices including more Viets.
Had the pawn appetizer (poop included - prefer them cleaned) Atmosphere was okay, simple and straightforward. If you sit at the table in the back there's a Bluetooth speaker that you'll be contending with during conversation, it's a coin flip if you like the music. But it's generally a very loud ambiance. The drinks were tasty, but very tiny cups, half of it is filled ice. Extremely long line. They came in 40m late on reservations. They barely checked on us. Food took almost as long to come out as the wait in line. The pho was pretty amazing, very tender slices of beef. Great broth etc.
Fried tofu and pressed cold bricks of rice vermicelli are indispensable, as are cucumbers and branches of green herbs. Sausage and cooked pork may make an appearance. But the point of the dish, the nucleus that the other ingredients orbit around, is a fermented-shrimp sauce called mam tom.
