MJ Sushi

Sushi is average. Long waits up to 40 minutes to be seated. Perhaps take out order is faster... Will try. Service was decent.

Located in the Blackhawk shopping center, next to the Safeway. This is an outstanding late night Japanese restaurant, specializing in high quality sushi rolls. I highly recommend their Deluxe hand roll: Uni, otoro, shiso leaf, ikura. They also feature House special rolls, and we tried their CB roll: salmon avocado, and fresh maguro tuna! Loved their high quality seafood and warm sushi rice. Sushi nigiri portions were large, generous cuts. I loved their otoro, hamachi, and ama ebi. Extremely fresh and delicious!

Love this place. It’s a popular local restaurant. Pretty decent Japanese food. Their sushi is good and the service was great as well. So glad they are local since moving to Danville.

Delicious food. Always fresh and well-prepared. Good selection on the menu. Great service. Really appreciate that they stay open to 10pm. We have enjoyed both the sashimi and rolls.

We eat here monthly and have never been disappointed. Favorites are the 49 Roll and the Mango Tuna. Sushi is always fresh and made well. Servers and hosts are outstanding and ensure you are happy with your order.

Next to Blackhawk Plaza and in the Tassajara Crossing Shopping mall, this restaurant location is a 5 Star establishment! M J Sushi is my close-to M.idnight J.apanese go-to Sushi place to dine-in or takeout. This review is my dine-in experience. Let your eyes be captivated, see pics. Guess which hand roll, it starts with a “U”. Ordered one of their most reviewed rolls And added the Gyoza since ‘Tengo hambre’, correction, I am very hungry ! Excellent presentation, fabulous combination of flavors, basically hit the spot ! Note. Had great conversations with the entire staff. Next week they plan to Close 1 hour early. Confused about the ratings- this was very expensive for small, mediocre quality sushi. Employee was rude. I’ll drive a little further next time to go to Fat Fish.

This place is great! The staff is really friendly and the high food quality is always consistent.
