Miyo Yakitori & Sushi

Will return; good Japanese restaurant experience.

We called, and told them that we were coming for a party of three, The gentleman was very kind and assumed us we should not have any wait, and to just come in, upon arrival, they had a group of 2 walk-ins take the table for 4 in front of us and sat at a table of four and made us wait, standing in the door way. Being very polite is not enough when you’re in the hospitality business,being transparent will bring your customers back, and unfortunately, they were not transparent with us. We waited over 20 min and we did not get seated. We decided to leave. I was a repeat customer, that will never go back.

Hands down the best sushi in Austin. Traveled to Japan less than a year ago and this is on par with my Japan experience. Fish is tender, fresh and tasty. All the employees are kind, welcoming and attentive. The bluefin o-toro is something else entirely, it's a must for splurging!

The freshest sushi in all of Austin. A great place for casual dining with excellent service. The staff is friendly and I like the cozy atmosphere. They have several authentic Japanese dishes and yakitori, perfect for snacking.

Cozy Japanese restaurant in The Artisan Apartment Complex. Lunch portions are quite large.

So happy we found this little GEM! Only been here once but we will absolutely be back. Best takoyaki in town!! Tastes just like Japan. Sushi rolls are amazing. The fish tastes very fresh. My favorite is definitely the Alaska roll. The ambiance is awesome. Very large menu, can’t wait to try more things. We love everything we ordered this round. They have an awesome weekday lunch special including bento boxes!

Great variety of hot and cold Japanese food, affordable prices, and nice portions. I’m a regular and always order the nigiri and chicken Yakitori. Always consistent and so delicious. Their cocktails and slushees are also tasty.
