Tonight met a friend there for a first time visit. Service was excellent. Above average. Attentive. Responsive. Very good. Sushi was very good. Wine portions nice. I had a rice bowl dish that I would not recommend but the other 5 things we got were very good. Steamed chicken dumplings were the best I’ve ever eaten. Prices fair. Happy hour rate was a perk.
Love the sushi here, I have had a lot of their menu options and all are pretty good. I do not recommend their alcoholic beverages or customer service but other than that all is well. Customer service is not bad enough where I would not return but it could most definitely be better.
I really loved the 2 dishes I had: vegetable dumplings and vegan maki sushi with spinach.
Over several years, I have frequented this establishment. During my most recent visit, I partook of the sushi, which was consistently excellent. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired, as it was provided by an individual of Spanish / Latino nationality. Regrettably, she neglected to replenish our beverages and our experience of the ramen soup was marred by an unpleasant chemical taste. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested a replacement, she nonetheless included the charge for the uneaten dish on my bill. This disappointing encounter occurred at the Washington Heights location. Furthermore, the server appeared confounded when I requested sugar and initially doubted its availability. The standard of service has indeed deteriorated, accompanied by a decline in the quality of the cuisine.
Unknown Gem in Houston. Hands down one of the best sushi restaurants that I have been to with extremely reasonable prices. I have dined at “5 star” sushi restaurants such as Nobu, Maurimotos, RA sushi and Miyako’s sushi is as good if not better. Fish is extremely fresh. Service is outstanding. Decor is cozy and seating is excellent. Great place to host a birthday party. Just had 15 of us at a birthday party and everyone left impressed with food and service. Highly recommend if you love raw sushi but that being said their specialty rolls are delicious.
This place has the best sushima in the Heights.i ordered the chicken egg rolls, chicken karrage, and the crazy caterpillar to start. Then we ordered the magic Mike, S&M maki, and the crazy maki each roll was full of flavor. And finally to go i said let me try something new. My husband got the Yakima Ramen stir fry was delicious. And I got the Yakima Gyu Niku Steak Dinner with sautéed veggies ad vegetable fried. Omg... the flavor was combination was on point. The steak beautifully seasoned and the sauce was amazing. The leaf that the steak rested on made the earthiness of the steak come to life it bought a special flavor to the meat. Was kind of upset that I I didn't get like chicken or steak fried rice but there was enough steak to fulfill that craving. The sautéed vegetables were so flavorful and cooked to perfection as was my steak. I could eat the a whole bowl the veggies with the vegetable fried rice and be completely satisfied. This place never cease to amaze me with flavor therefore always satisfying my sushima fix. Going back again. Sorry that didn't have more pictures I was just eating just as fast as they bought it to the table. And the sauce... Man that sauce!!! Parking: They validated the parking. Sweet.
Love Miyako very tasty food and great atmosphere
