Mississippi Boy Catfish & Ribs

Catfish and shrimp fried to perfection. Food did not disappoint! Greens, potato salad...

I'm from South Carolina so I know good southern cooking and this place did not disappoint I highly suggest the catfish and most definitely the greens. And the house bread I never had bread that was seasoned like that. 5 stars

Out to celebrate my husbands birthday and just happened to find this place. We decided to try it since both my husband and I are from MS. We got a large combo so we could try more things knowing we'd also have food to take hm. The meats were sausage, pulled pork, ribs, catfish, and shrimp. Our four sides were mac'n'cheese, fries, coleslaw, and collard greens. I grew up eating catfish and am quite picky. The catfish here is very good. My husband says it's the best he's had in CO. The ribs and pork were smoked well. I liked the breading on the shrimp. They were cooked just right, not tough & chewy like you find with a lot of fried shrimp. Of the sides we chose, the fries and collard greens were my favorites. I could have just gotten a bowl of collard greens and been very happy. The owner, Ty, waited on us. He was wonderful. We enjoyed talking with him. Ty was the only one waiting on people. You might have to wait a bit (depending on how busy) to get taken care of. Be patient! Don't leave. It's worth the wait. Last thing, it was a surprise to read on the menu that the restaurant is a non-profit. Your meal can actually be considered a tax deduction. The profits go towards the Special Olympics. What a bonus! Great food while helping a worthy cause.

Stop by for dinner after a workout towards the end of the service and met some awesome people. The owner Ty was the one that took care of us and didn’t rush us out after it was past closing time. We had ribs, catfish, and wings. The wings were some of the best Ive ever had and highly recommend ordering them. Didn’t not enjoy the ribs as much however the catfish was cooked perfectly! Would definitely comeback again and try the other items on the menu.

Needed a small bite to eat as we were cleaning the house and got a pulled pork sandwich with fries and candied yams from here, mostly because it was close. WOW!! The best barbeque we've had since we moved to Denver a few years ago from the Midwest. They gave me a water as I waited for pickup, and the place was just beautiful on the inside. Will definitely be coming back again to try new things, do yourself a favor and give this place a try if you want good barbeque. Also, really nice takeout containers, generous portions, and incredibly friendly staff

We found Mississippi Boys by accident when we were just looking for a quick bite to eat. The restaurant is situated in a residential area but the inside was nice. The decor was great, the music was on point, and football was playing on the tv’s to my husband’s delight. We ordered a combination platter that had ribs and catfish. We also had the candied yams and Mac and cheese as our sides. The portions were great, the catfish was meaty but a little dark maybe the temperature of the oil was too high. The ribs had great flavor and so did the sides. Definitely support this small business.

Drove from Dallas Texas .. Service was great , food was off the chain .. The owner welcomed my family with a wonderful smile great service , Food came fast.. Most of all his service was great I loved it .. The service will have you coming back .. The food to but I’m very big on service ..

We were looking for good soul food as we are from Louisiana and haven’t found many places. This is truly a hidden gem with a great atmosphere and attentive service. 10/10
