Great home cooked food, Especially enjoyed the fish dinner, best ox tail in town, very generous portions, nice neighborhood vibe

Had their Dinner plate combo, and I have to say their ribs were fall off the bone! plus their Greens and Yams were so good. I usually don't eat soul food outside of my family, but my wife suggested it, so went and I'm glad we did! will definitely comeback!

Update: FIVE STARS My wife brought home some ribs from Miss Nettie's Kitchen. The sauce was the perfect marriage of slightly sweet and mild heat. The taste reminded me of the first slab of ribs I had at Dreamland BBQ (a famous black owned rib house in AL). If you ever pass through Tuscaloosa, Alabama, I highly recommend you visit Dreamland. Anyway, the ribs from Miss Nettie's Kitchen weren't falling off the bone. They were even better! Cooked to a perfect competition style bite, where you have to tug just a bit to pull it off the bone. Perfectly cooked, and perfectly seasoned! She said the next time would be better, and by golly she followed through! The tri-tip and the chicken and the mac & cheese are all great too, but the ribs, wow! Thank you Miss Nettie's Kitchen for the excellent ribs and for bringing back a wonderful memory! ------------------------ Original review: Came in just for french fries. Wow! These were some of the best french fries I've ever had. Crispy, delicious, and made with clean oil. They lined the foam to-go container with aluminum foil. I appreciate that.

Food and portion size was decent me an my child's father ate here it was later in the day I will most definitely be trying this place again

The most awesome thing was Hot water corn With their meal, but the hot water cornbread was very salty. My macaroni and cheese was not warm at all, and had sprinkles or cheese on top. The ribs could’ve been more tender, barbecue, Hot links were the cheap ones not that quality. The fish was very very fishy and we got catfish. Green wasn’t me The yams were good, but overall the tri-tip was good. I probably wouldn’t be back here. But the restaurant was very clean Try it for yourself

Best soul food in Fresno!! So happy I found this place!!! Vegetarian options: Mac n cheese and yams are sooo delicious!!

First time here and they did not disappoint!! We will definitely be coming back!!
