My favorite place in the East village! Great food, great vibes, and great music!
Good music and atmosphere subpar kitchen offerings
Food and service are not as good as they used to be. Fun spot nonetheless!
Palm Sunday Dinner Date with the Hubby. I had saw this place on IG but despite the mixed reviews decided to give it a try than our usual go to for our cultural food. Came all the way from BK. The atmosphere and Staff are very welcoming. Does have touches of JA around the space. It was VERY loud with the music boxes and ppl so close by us talking. I could barely hear my Husband. It wasn’t until towards the end of our visit they played reggae or JA artists. It was all Afrobeats. The cocktails were good. The food is not authentic sadly the entrees we ordered the meat was tender but not stewed at all. It just tastes like meat in gravy. The “seasoning”came from the gravy. No spice or kick at all. Roti skin had no dhal. The salads we got as appetizers were good however Hubby stated the shrimp was rubbery.
If you want to eat something special try this Jamaican fusion joint with amazing flavors. Get the jerk corn to start along with hummus and plantain chips.
What happened to the Caribbean music? It's 80% hip hop - no soca / very little reggae
