Great for a date night. Genuine Italian food
What a great Italian dinner at Misirizzi. I visited on a Friday night, it was pretty busy. Very nice and cozy vibe. I tried a few pasta dishes including strozzapreti, lasagne, carbonara, zucchini parmigiana. I absolutely loved the fried artchokes (appetizer) Everything accompigned by Passerina, a delicious Italian white wine.
a cute, cozy and intimate setting + the pre-fixe menu for valentines was amazing! amazing food and great presentation! thanks so much <3
Really good but expensive
I booked one of Misirizzi’s private rooms for a friend’s birthday and this place exceeded our expectations! Vanja, who I spoke to numerous times was very helpful in making everything happen. We did a four course prefix menu with a 2 hour open bar of wine and beer, and everything was great. I would also like to state that our server Gloria was absolutely amazing. She was so attentive, so sweet and just overall 10000/10. At no point did we feel rushed, our glasses were always full with drinks and she made our evening with how kind she was. I will definitely visit this restaurant again, and will 100% book again for a private dinner.
Editing to be more specific as requested by the restaurant: 1. The carbonara was just terrible, it was overcooked, tasted like boxed pasta with powdery jarred sauce. We didn’t eat it. The waiter didn’t question us to why we didn’t eat it. We left with the plate full. 2. The salad was basically spinach out of a bag with a few bacon bits. 3. The prosciutto was good, enjoyed that 4. Tried a few white wines, nothing stood out or pared well. We asked questions about the different wine profiles, and the waiters weren’t able to talk about the wines. 5. The service was below par, food came slow, they never refilled our wine (we had a bottle), average friendliness. 6. The atmosphere was ok, no points gained or lost there 7. Squid ink pasta was below par. Seafood was overcooked. Sauce and pasta were ok, but all the seafood tasted like rubber. 8. When the waiters cleared our table, it was clear we didn’t eat the carbonara because the plate was still full. The waiters didn’t question us on it. There’s potential here with room for improvements!
I celebrated my birthday this past weekend at Misirizzi with a large group of friends. The owner Alessandro was very accommodating to my needs and made sure my night went perfectly. The food was great and so were the drinks. The bartender and waitstaff were also on the ball with everything we asked for. I suggest starting with the polpettine (meatballs), carciofi (crispy artichoke) and burrata which were all excellent. For dinner we ordered the malfaldine, linguine, tagliatelle bolognese, cappelletti zucca and branzino which were all excellent as well. For dessert we ordered several orders of the tiramisu which were amazing, the chocolate cake and of course we had to try the DIY cannolis which made a fun addition to the night. Overall, Misirizzi is a nice, cozy, Italian spot, with friendly accommodating staff and good food which I would recommend having any future events there.
