Made a reservation for a large group for dim sum. This was after the lunar year parade so the place was slammed. Service was good under the circumstances but was slow to take new food orders. Good food though and extensive dim sum menu.

I’ve been to this location countless times for lunch and dinner. It’s great for groups. I’ve eaten downstairs but mostly upstairs because there is a lot more space for groups. I had dim sum as well as the regular menu. I saw the complaints people had, and they really need to stop ordering the same Americanized Chinese dishes. Part of the experience is being able to try new items that you don’t normally eat. Otherwise, you might as well go to Panda Express to get your standard orange chicken and fried rice. The food here is actually pretty good if you know what to order. For parking, if you parked in the two big lots then you can validate your ticket after eating. Instead of $15-16, it’ll be like $2. If you go late at night, you can park in that much smaller parking lot behind Minghin. It’s free. You order on the piece of paper or tablet, not difficult. It’s about the same as ordering at kiosks at other places. Service is not bad. They don’t need to smile, just need to bring out your food and refill your drinks. I had many servers there that didn’t smile but the service was always fast. Yes, they bring out one dish at a time, not altogether. I’ve been to many, many types of restaurants. Even some American ones also bring one dish out at a time, not a hard concept to understand.

Always a wait (because they are so popular), but always leave happy and satisfied. My son's fav for dim sum.

Visited my daughter in Chicago and she recommended this place. We shared general Tsao's and several dim sum items. All were excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended. Will return

Our server, Lin, was horrible and chow mein was served super bland. She basically acted like it was such a chore to serve us, yelled and then left completely after giving us the check. Like she got her coat and she dipped type of left, literally. I smiled and tried to be polite but the guy that followed her up didn't offer any slight apology and then was just as rude. There are so many restaurants in Chinatown. These types of bad service situations are unacceptable.
