Mimi's Asian Gourmet

I ordered takeout on a drive from Niagara to Toronto. The Food here was among the best Thai I’ve ever had. Very authentic and very flavorful. Would make the drive back to Hamilton just to visit this spot again :).

Fantastic food, this place has easily become my top place in Hamilton to get some delicious eats.

Me and 2 other co workers had their food the other day. You need to plan ahead as we ordered takeout and it took just over 2 hrs. The lady on the phone said that was how long it would take and she was bang on with the time. They txt d us about 10 min before it was ready and I thought that was a nice of them to do that. They only have 1 table in the restaurant so be prepared for take out. Super friendly on the phone and very accommodating with their ingredients. Not a tofu person and they removed it. My friend had a shrimp red curry and she said it had about a dozen very large shrimps. My other friend had the chicken and shrimp pad thai. And they both said it was excellent. Will be returning for more. Parking: Lots of street parking. Just remember to pay the meter.

Was hard not to inhale the food as it was the tastiest meal we’ve had in a while… but tried hard to take small bites so we could savour every morsel. Holy smokes !!everything was delicious. Do splurge for the mango sticky rice dessert . Flavourtown - authentic - perfect heat and texture. Will be back real soon for more.

Hands down, one of the best restaurants in Hamilton for authentic Asian cuisine. Ordered corn fritters, chicken pad Thai, general thai chicken. tasty and flavorful. Highly recommended if you are craving for delicious authentic Asian food. 10/10 Ordered again for a 2nd time and this place never disappoints. Ordered corn fritters, calamari, Singapore Laksa. Everything was delicious. If I won the lottery, I would definitely hire the chef of his establishment as my personal chef! No kidding. 3rd visit- Ordered taro tapioca pudding, char kway teow and chicken green curry. Absolutely delicious. This place always makes great dishes. I am definitely a lifelong customer!

I had been looking for a Thai place in Hamilton for a while - and this place exceeded my expectations. Ordered takeout on a busy weekend night, and everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The Tom Kha soup is the best I’ve had in years, and a large portion for the price. The Green curry was absolutely delicious- I also got 3 servings out of it (dinner and 2 lunches). Timely and friendly service - even despite being very busy with orders that night! This will definitely be one of my new restaurants on rotation! Thank you Mimi’s.

For the most part a great menu, we eat here weekly. But why do you put ketchup in the pad Thai. Please can you make it properly . You can smell the ketchup , only thing we can’t order on the menu

TL:DR A nice location in East Hamilton, not far from Tim Hortons Field, with good tasting Thai, Chinese, Malaysian and Indonesian dishes, nice decor and good portion sizes for the cost. We will go back again. My wife (who is Malaysian) always loves to find places to eat Malaysian food. When we learned Mimi's had some Malaysian dishes it was inevitable that we'd end up here. Mimi's has a mix of Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian dishes along with some of the standard Chinese-Canadian dishes (like General Tao/"Thai" Chicken). I got the Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with beef. It was very well done. The rice was hot and steamy with the right level of smokiness. I would have liked some more sambal or sauce but the very thinly sliced chillies brought the heat. My wife got the Singapore Laksa which she enjoyed. For the boys we got Pad Thai, which was good, but a little too sweet. It might have been because we asked for no spice for the boys, which threw off the balance of sweet, spicy, sour, salty and creamy. The mango salad was fresh and tasty, with a mix of sweet and sour. One thing to note about this place is that they only have one table, so you should be prepared for take out. The place looks nice in terms of colours (muted red and brown and bamboo, with Thai and Chinese figurines) and there are a lot of boxes (in case that isn't your thing). Service was in plastic containers but they provided bowls on asking. Vegetarian options: Lots of mock meat and veggies options Parking: Three parking spots on King Street right in front of the restaurant.
