Great brats and cheese curds! The beer is probably the best price in that area. Vegetarian options: My friend said it was a decent beyond brat for that kind of thing.
It's a bar. They serve "bar food" but oh boy, it's good bar food. A bit greasy and salty and yummy. Couldn't eat there every day but I can honestly say that my bratwurst was so overloaded with delicious toppings that it may have been the first brat I was tempted to eat with a knife and fork. The pretzel bun held up though, so I was able to use (two) hands.
Grabbed a bite before jumping on the shuttle to Am Fam. We had the sampler: italian is good if you like spicy, but spicy is a bit too spicy, what the waiter called "fancy hot dog" was unbelievable, and the German is a better brat than any if you are craving something classic. It was easy to get on the shuttle here, but I wouldn't actually leave a car here or arrange to have a ride come or meet somebody after. There's no way we were getting on the same shuttle for the return journey. Don't worry about holding onto your colored wristband either. The cops don't follow the system, and they think they know where you need to go better than you do. Definitely come here for the excellent food and the atmosphere, but you're far better off avoiding the park-and-ride option for the ballpark altogether unless you have a different way out of the park.
The food was super good! Highly recommend the spinach & artichoke dip and the pretzel. The Wisconsin burger was cooked perfectly and we liked the Mac and cheese sausage that we ordered as well. It was neat that they let you pay to play music but it is extremely loud-heads up for those who are sensitive to noise.
Great food, cheap beer, and the best shuttle in the city! This is my favorite spot to hang out before sporting events, especially in the summer as the shuttle to Miller Park is FANTASTIC. Bring earplugs if you are easily overstimulated, the music is loud. But otherwise it's a very casual place to hang out and the crowd is very enthusiastic to talk sports.
The Usinger's Bratwurst sausage with grilled onions was good, but the pretzel bun was a really dry and more or less stale. I ate it though with lottza mustard to soften zings up. Onion rings were good once they cooled off enough and the onion stayed in the crust instead of flopping out and scalding my lip leaving a hollow crust behind. My server was mostly absent playing bar dice leaving me high and dry without a drink several times. Therefore my tip was a little dry as well. Vegetarian options: I don't recall what they were exactly I just saw a 'V' beside the few things that were vegetarian.
We walked in on a Sunday about 45 minutes before a Bucks game started. I am glad we didn't walk in an hour and a half before because I doubt there would have been space. It slowly emptied out as the game approached and started. What a lively crowd, super excited for their Bucks, who my son informed me were doing well. The food was amazing; you need to get the giant pretzel. The cheese curds were good. The fries were good. And our brats were definitely delicious! Highly recommend the Southsider.
Lively atmosphere with great bar food - onion rings, sausage platter, chz fries etc… we stopped here after a bucks game. They did lose that night but every other location we stopped had no food service or was very dead - not lively.
Bonne ambiance car grosse affluence, rapide efficace avant un match des Bucks (sortie de derrière qui donne direct sur le Fiserv Forum), seul bémol un poil cher par rapport à la moyenne
