Food was delicious, waiter was very pleasant and polite
Lovely meal here today and Carla was especially helpful. Will be back. Thank you.
Great food friendly staff Parking: Multi storey nearby
By far the best steak we’ve had highly recommend the butchers block!
Was impressed by the Greeters (person who showed us to our table) use of the term "Universally Accessible Toilet" when referring to toilet facility for disabled people. Unfortunately, I was less impressed that it was located by the serving area for the kitchen. Not ideal but assume this will be related to the building and its potential listed status. Parking: 2 designated spaces for blue badge holders. The payment machine may be difficult for some wheelchair users and short people. Barrier uses Number plate recognition although machine says use ticket receipt (which it doesn't give) to exit. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking within easy reach, rustic paving to the restaurant made for a bumpy ride. Good ramped access. Wide entrance door. Accessible toilet (unfortunately near to the kitchen and serving area) accessed by RADAR key. Managers have a key if you don't. Very friendly and willing to assist if needed.
All good esp our waiter Pete. Very professional but friendly and helpful
First class service from Helen. She is a real credit to you.
Me and my friend were greeted by a rude plump man who seated us in the way of servers. Our server eventually introduced himself and reluctantly explained what the menu all meant. He said he was our designated server and we should only be served by him. We were served by 4 different people all night. The steak was cold after resting far too long. The mac and cheese was stone cold (honestly I think it was made 2 days prior) and when I raised this with my 'designated' server (had wave to get his attention) he said I was lying but begrudgingly got me a replacement. It was an overall terrible experience and I highly recommend you enjoy the much superior restraunts in Liverpool one. The best thing about this experience was befriending a fellow hotel resident who went to the same place the night before and had the same server! He described a terrible experience also but managed an apology from the gargoyle server and £20 off the bill. Personally both parties should of had a sincere apology and both ate for free. Learn from both of our experiences if you visit Liverpool.
Absolutely beautiful food and brilliant service - Jess was great! Thank you very much!
