I fell like they are racist there , my wife and I spot in for a bite thought it would be nice , but they wanted to sit up in the back by the kitchen even though there were plenty of tables open . As I sat there and watched them sit other white in the white a view . So sad that even in this day and age this racism is still going on … will never come here again

My group of 3 had an 8pm reservation and were seated promptly. The host was wonderful and kind. The food was amazing and exceeded expectations but the service was lacking overall. First course came very quickly. Second course came out a little slow. Then we had a 30 minute wait for our main course even though the restaurant was at 40% capacity by then. Just slower than expected at other restaurants at this price. The waiter seemed like he lacked the kind of professionalism and experience that you’d expect in fine dining. The bathrooms looked halfway to being a dive bar with carvings in the mirror and toilet paper all over the floor. Overall it was a great meal but service could be improved greatly for a better experience.

Millennium should be on everyone's radar when trying plant based in SFO. The phenomenal service was overshadowed by out of the world food - the smells, textures, blends of spices, the presentation, omg to die for. We tried the 5 course chefs special and every course was an experience to remember. Totally deserves the great reviews and the Michelin badge. Thank you to the staff at Millennium for a great time.

Came in here last spring for my partner's birthday for what we hoped would be a nice date night dinner. We had a reservation but arrived 15 minutes early, was told our table wasn't ready, and was directed to the bar. We sat there for almost an hour, checked in multiple times with our bartender. We kept asking the bartender and eventually checked our phone to see the hostess had called us once before and was calling again - We answered and they were surprised to hear we were at the bar, waiting for them. The hostess was quite rude to us, saying they had been calling us all night and implying they had given our reservation up! Eventually they sat us at the worst table in the restaurant, with my back to the door and guests waiting and conversing at my shoulder over our meal. Our service continued to be noticeably slow, we waited a good 20 minutes to get our order taken. Hey the food was not terrible at least! The portion and quality didn't match the high prices, but what do you expect from a pretentious Rockridge plant based place that caters to those willing to pay extra for a higher quality vegan experience. Overall we were obviously shocked and disappointed to be treated like this. My partner and I are in our early 20s and we had dressed up nice for her birthday, we were the best dressed in the restaurant and spent over $150 on the meal and drinks and we were made to feel that we didn't belong there. I am so appreciative of any vegan restaurant, and was excited to try a vegan restaurant that used fresh foods for a little bit of a fine dining experience. Thus we were so disappointed by the way we were treated and have no plans to return. Places like The Butchers Son in Berkley give us much better food, and at a quarter of the price. I expected better from such a highly regarded establishment, and this definitely spoiled what should have been a nice birthday celebration. Wondering if you should try this place out and maybe you'll have a better experience? Consider a more affordable vegan eatery in the area - Cholita Linda or Rico Rico vegano, or an Arizmendi pizza.

My favorite fine dining in Oakland. The food is always both creative and delicious. The service is always excellent
