Great little French bakery on the UWS. Definitely recommend! We came here every morning on our last 2 trips lol.
Update... reduced the stars by one... The quality of the foundational ones like baguette and butter croissant are still there... But some fancier versions are not at par... also be careful when you go... it gets very crowded in the morning, due to hotel guests having breakfast from this place. Very long lines... Original: Great little neighborhood patisserie with all the yummy essentials... croissants, quiche, sandwiches, macarons, and bread... There is a few tables, so you may need to take it to go. Vegetarian options: Several pastry options Dietary restrictions: Gluten based products that are premade... So may not be possible for modication Parking: Paid street parking if you can find it Kid-friendliness: Small place Wheelchair accessibility: You may want to sit outside
Service is top notch here. I’m not a French pastry expert, but everything we tried during our stay at Hotel Bellclaire was excellent and very fresh. Nicely done espresso drinks made with care by a guy who knows his stuff — he looks like an octopus the way he multi-tasks around that machine. Very cheerful staff and smiling faces all around, mark of well run shop.
Average. Definitely not the best croissant of UWS. Was a bit disappointed considering all the add on their croissant.. baguette was better. Don’t particularly recommend Service was good though
Pain au Chocolat and iced chai received a thumbs up. Connected through the lobby of the Belleclaire Hotel, and when you stay there you are given a $10 breakfast voucher. Definitely worth checking out.
Inadequate inventory. Too few pastries/baked goods left after 12:00 noon.
Amazing pastries! Great service!
