This is my second time coming to this restaurant I live in staten island and when I'm in Brooklyn I try to get good hard salami sandwiches and hot dogs from mill basin deli due to the fact that there are no Jewish deli on staten island this time I ordered the special 2 hot dogs and knish along with a hard salami on rye I'm sorry to say that the rye bread was not fresh when I opened the sandwich at home and bit into it the bread was hard like a rock .I wanted hard salami not hard bread lol I will be back to try again.
The service here is phenomenal, the guy that wears the glasses that is the server is amazing. The matzoh ball soup and hotdogs are my favorite here. I come here at least twice a week and love it.
Came here with the family for an early dinner while in the neighborhood. The service is medium, not as fast as your typical diner, but gets the job done. The restaurant itself is like walking into a time capsule from the 70s and 80s. The inside has been persevered and not changed from the original artwork on the walls, the neon lighting. This is a true New York classic diner experience. The food hots the spot in all the right places. Note that the pastrami is thin cut and served warm and not hand carved like at Katz. Everything tasted well made, though all of the deli meats are very salty. But that's what you came for. I strongly recommend the Superhuman it has all of the classics.
One of life’s guilty pleasures. Enjoying mill basin for 30 years now.
I went for dinner with a few friends. The food is outstanding. The chopped liver appetizer was great. I had 1/2 pastrami sandwich and 1/2 tongue sandwich. It's really good. I hope the Mill Basin Deli is around for a long time to come.
