Mika's Japanese Restaurant

One of the last good Japanese fast food places in town. Plus the best miso soup in Fresno since Tokyo Gardens downtown closed.

I entered Mika's and was the second person in line, I over heard the guy in front of me order a #9 so I decided to order the same, plus a 8 piece sushi roll, when it was my turn I looked behind me and it was a line of 5 people.. So I finished my order and sat down waiting patiently.. The guy that ordered the #9 was asked if he wanted a choice of either cucumber salad or regular salad and he made his choice.. Every person that was behind me and in front received their food and left, i was still waiting on my food patiently.. I asked the cashier what was what was I waiting on, and she said the roll, and she pointed at the girl in the back saying she was making it, the girl in the back stopped what she was doing and did something else, so I asked for a refund on the roll, and the girl in the back said , " I'm making it now" at that point I had been there atleast 20plus minutes after the whole line left with their food... So finally I received my refund for the roll and my #9 but I wasn't offered my choice of salad like the guy before me, so I asked if I was going to have the same option as the guy who ordered his #9 she said yes, I said you never offered it to me but you gave me my food as if you weren't going to offer... The service is based upon if you're a regular or if they like you.. They don't know me so I received terrible service.. I won't be returning any time soon, if you don't like your job you should get one that you enjoy, don't let paying customers receive your bad attitude for wanting what you sell

Bad customer service. Girl was rude on the phone when I called and placed my order and confirmed when I went there to pick it up. She looked at me and I had to tell her pick up, the only words she spoke was "name" and the money total. Couldn't even look at me when giving me my change looking at her phone and as soon as the money went in my hand she picked it up, LOL. Didn't say thank you, nothing. Ridiculous. Food is ok at least. Used to be a little better (like bomb at times), now it's in the middle. Not bad, still good.

Been a long time customer of Mikas and have always enjoyed their food. As of late the quality has gone down. I just went there yesterday to give it another shot and I specifically said I wanted all dark meat chicken. Well I didn't get all dark which ok, I don't care but the chicken seemed like it was made days before I got it. Tough and dry! I think that is going to be my last attempt at eating here unfortunately.

This is a longtime neighborhood favorite. It has been a while since I been here because it never disappoints but came here during lunch and it seems like under new management? Young female that takes the order is unfriendly. My spicy beef bowl was half fat instead of meat. Rice and flavor is still flavorful. Too bad, make some changes Mika's, I am sure you have long time customers that notice the difference like I did.

First time here. I got their chicken bowl. It wasn't the best I've had, but it's worth trying out. I'd come back again.

Good food...never disappointed
