If you like to overpay for a little bit of a good food Michaels’s genuinely expensive restaurant is for you. We were 4 people, celebrating mom’s birthday, had 3 cocktails in total, 3 appetizers and 4 entrees and we paid about $400. Everything including the entrees are very small portions and unsatisfying if you’re coming very hungry. Ambiance was nice, street cafe vibes, causal but with fine dining prices. It didn’t make sense to us. They opened up the glass enclosures so although we were dining inside we had a lot of flies accompanying our food. Chicken liver appetizer was good, it could use a little more generous chicken liver on the bread and it’s only 3 slices. Crispy pork belly appetizer was ok, little heavy and on the sweeter side. $24 Leeks carbonara appetizer was good, we asked for some bread and dipped in it. again very small portion that kinda shocked us $21 2 people ordered 1/2 chicken was also really small plate with no sides. $39 chicken was perfectly cooked. Most expensive of a chicken we’ve ever had. Grouper with turmeric-coconut broth sounded iffy and artsy fartsy but it tasted good, we actually dipped some bread in its sauce. $42 You need to ask for bread because they don’t bring anything without asking. It was sourdough and it was good. Giant prawns were the biggest disappointment for $58. There was nothing giant about it except the inedible head. The reduction sauce was ok, a little on the heavy side. The heads lost its fat because they dissolved into the sauce :( also they should put at least two more prawns here, nobody will be filled with 3 shrimps. It comes with a little unseasoned arugula. Funny for an entree. Side dish potatoes sucked, no flavor, we put lots of salt on it and everyone was still hungry after this dinner. Although we liked the taste of some of the food, it’s way too expensive for what it is and the portions are way too small even with that astronomical price. Yet it’s a basic cafe/bistro. They also never acknowledged mom’s birthday. We were so dissapointed and went to another place for dessert.

Located in the Miami design district, this restaurant had a nice outdoor seating area but inside was cozier, more romantic, and gorgeous decor. The vibe was enjoyable, not too loud, good music. Overall a great setting for date night or casual dinner with friends. Our server Sarah provided an excellent service experience. For drinks we each tried a different spritz, very refreshing. Our food was hamachi crudo, grilled octopus, roasted eggplant with lamb and pita (which we ordered TWICE!), and crispy skinned duck confit. Every plate was seasoned perfectly, cooked perfectly, overall executed perfectly. This is a strong recommend! We will be back.

I had high hopes for this spot given its great reviews on open table. Ordered a duck confit ($32) and a glass of Gewürztraminer ($17). The food and wine tasted good but for the price and the hype - it did not wow. The duck came w some lentils, kumquat and frisée which was tasty but very sparse. There were no other sides leaving the plating looking a bit awkward. The service was fine but not particularly warm. The hostess was a bit standoffish and presumptuous. Definitely more of a sceney vibe and seems it is more suited to fun drinks and hangouts w friends.

I’ve been to MG’s many times. The food is always fantastic. Atmosphere/ambiance always great… The hostess and management staff is very rude and stuck up. Prepare for the hostess to give you attitude for any request (a simple “I apologize but we cannot accommodate your request) would be great, but instead it’s a very condescending answer while smirking at you. The gentleman, who was the manager was rude as well. Truly it was mind blowing. I’d recommend their staff take a training seminar how to be kind and considerate. I don’t normally leave reviews but I was so baffled at their impoliteness, I had to write something. I’ve never had a restaurant make myself or my family feel that way. Will never be back.

I ordered a salad. The salt level was overpowering, they made another salad, still awful. I ordered falafel, burned amd oversalted, very disappointed in the food. The atmosphere was delightful, the staff was patient amd kind, loved the wait and the front desk staff. Food could be most definity better. I got a stomach ache from all that.
