Great little coffee shop, baristas are always super nice, coffee is outstanding. And it’s dog friendly inside as well.
My experience of this place to paraphrase Gene Wolfe in The Citadel of the Autarch, is "[Mi Mundo], is not really as corrupt as people like to believe." Adding to that is a little difficult since it comes off as a non sequitur, but I'll give it my best effort (of today) focusing on food atmosphere and service. In summary, the food is atmospherically serviceable, the service is food for human atmosphericity, the food is served atmospherically, the service is of atmospheric food, the atmosphere is foodish and serverific, and the atmosphere provides for my servation as a member of a Foodly community. I think that covers today's permutations. I think the key is the folks who are employed at Mi Mundo. Every time I'm there I feel like I'm a part of something bigger. ... and not just bigger in a grandiose sort of way, but also bigger in a Borgesian sort of way e.g. Tlön, Uqbar, Mi Mundo Coffeehouse & Roastery. Dietary restrictions: I only saw Mi Mundo eat a few people, but I was told that they were good people and that they lived good lives. Now that I am re-reading this I am aware that good people might imply that people, so I should clarify that the people were definitely not tasty. Parking: Location: inconveniently global Number of spots: uncountable or every-changing Etc.: demons sometimes whisper things, but sometimes they shout, which is when we think of them as other's muses Kid-friendliness: There weren't any kids so I cannot speak to their friendliness. There were people who seemed to be maintaining a relative age difference to myself and they all seemed friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: see also parking
Really fair prices for coffee and beans. Guys are very chill in there.
Mi Mundo is the best coffee shop in Austin! The coffee is roasted by the owner in their Round Rock location, and they even sell bags of beans - and they’ll grind them for you if you don’t have a grinder! The baristas are super friendly and helpful, and the shop is super cute. So far my favorite drinks are the lavender honey latte, honey nut latte, and pistachio rose latte. Their cold brew is very balanced and the chai is very tasty. The pastries paid well with their drip coffee, and the iced tea is great for those who don’t love coffee. They also offer discounts to college students and EMS members, offer a 25¢ discount if you bring your own cup, and have a “buy 10, get 1 free” punchcard. Their mission to make the world a better place by making great coffee at an affordable price while paying their farmers and baristas a fair wage is apparent in every aspect of their business. If you like coffee and want to shop more ethically, Mi Mundo Coffeehouse and Roastery is absolutely the place for you! Vegetarian options: They now offer vegan tacos from La Plancha, and have many milk alternatives available. They also have a vegetarian veggie bagel.
Great coffee! The owner was very kind and welcoming, and has a sweet Gretsch on display :)
Great little spot with tasty coffee and treats. Worth a stop!
One of the best iced lattes I’ve had in a long time! I mostly make my coffee at home but once in a while I’ll treat myself to an iced latte. A lot of the shops in Austin can be a bit snobbish and I’m always underwhelmed but I’ve now had two from Mi Mundo and it really hits the spot. I’m not usually into flavored coffee drinks but the pistachio rose is so delicious! Staff is chill and friendly.
