Mezze Cafe - Mediterranean Grill & Hookah Lounge (Downtown)

Chill space. Loved the hummus & falafel!

Coming from Houston, it’s really hard to find a good hookah spot in Austin. All the places are in dark places that feel claustrophobic and like a night club. Mezze is just a nice atmosphere with great food and amazing service. Adele is the manager he brings an amazing energy to the restaurant. Highly recommend. P.S is you’re a cat lover there is a really cool cat that hangs around and will occasionally give you a paw

Food not bad, place is nice but Service is awful, nobody even comes to your table even you call them!

This wasn’t a great experience for me. We were seated outside on the patio, which they changed recently into an addition to the building, making it look like a confused and unsure indoor space. I appreciated coming here for the patio experience and this is no longer something I’d like to come back to. I visited for a business conversation with a friend and was questioned by the server when I asked for our bonfire table to be lit. He seemed to be lazy. The server also gave poor overall table service; he barely checked on us. I will not be returning unfortunately but good luck to the owners!

Super casual, good music, excellent shisha, great food, friendly service. Parking is interesting, not many spots available. Probably better to uber if you can. It was a little chilly inside but we got a table by a heater.

Food was really great. But we felt like we overpaid. Particularly for the baklava; it was 2 very tiny pieces, cost $8, and looked nothing like previous photos. Water is also only available in bottles and costs $2... just felt disappointed by the amount it cost to eat here. We can get a lot more food at some of the food trucks around the area. We chalked it up to inflation, but $12 for water and a little baklava.. yikes.
