The place was nicely decorated but can’t say I’ll be running back here. The food was okay, nothing that stood out. We were a table of 3 guests, and only 2 plates and utensils were on the table. The server at no point even noticed to bring a 3rd plate so when the appetizers arrived we grabbed from an empty table next to us. The restaurant has no heat. The night we came NYC was having its coldest week and we froze. We asked if the heat can be raised, and even though the server said yes, there was zero heat. The bathrooms were just as freezing, it was uncomfortable to even touch the toilet.
I’ve been to Athens, Pikermi and Santorini Greece and THIS is the best Greek food I’ve ever tasted in America! This is a NYC must!!
Went to Meze Mazi for the first time last night and although the food was good, the overall experience was not that enjoyable. We had a reservation for 3 people and when we arrived the table was only set for 2 people which makes no sense to me but we brushed it off. The waiter kept disappearing so when the salad came, one person still had no utensil or plate so we just walked up to the bar area and grabbed from there. It’s about 20 degrees in NYC and the restaurant was so cold. We asked the waiter if they could raise the heat and he said yes but we froze all night while we were there. Our water glasses were empty and we had to ask to get a refill, and then a while after my friend asked for an additional refill and he only refilled her cup meanwhile the other 2 cups were getting empty as well. In my experience from eating out and just basic customer service, you refill all glasses or at least ask the other guests if they would like their water refilled as well. For us it just seemed like basic service skills were lacking.
Stopped in after a Candlelight Crossroads Concert and had a lovely time. Atmosphere was nice, staff was attentive and friendly (although I didn't get his name) our waiter was courteous and helpful. We decided on small plates & dined on lamb skewers, feta stuffed eggplant and grilled shrimp, octopus and calamari all of which were delicious, presented well and the right temperature! For drinks we sipped on Sikko & some kinda fig drink that was perfect & not too sweet When in the city, I'd definitely visit again ☺️
Beautiful restaurant with great service. The tzakiki could use more garlic for better flavor. The Keftedes were good but had a slight off taste. Ribeye was really amazing
Each dish served at Mezi Mazi Mediterranean restaurant was incredible! We had a group of 5 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their individual meals. The food tasted clean and fresh. Service was nice. Interior decor was beautiful aswell. Great choice for Mediterranean dining.
Great apps and shareable plates
Cute place with great food. One of the best prices for boozy brunch I’ve seen. Food came out quickly and was delicious and good sized portion for brunch. Nice atmosphere with fake ivy and flowers. Docked a star for service and atmosphere because of a rowdy table of 7-8 near us who kept ordering drinks, keeping the minimal waitstaff busy — which meant my table had to wait longer for service. Vegetarian options: There were a few non-meat options — though not many.
The food was so good especially the lamb chops but the best part was the service amazing caring and attentive we will definitely come back!
Great food, for service, good Sunday brunch. Will definitely be back again soon
