The veggie fajitas are great!

The ambiance here is calm but fun. My wife and I enjoyed Valentine's Day here. I got the El Hipster, and she had the sangria. Both were very good. A lot of restaurants around Chattanooga make drinks wrong, but Mezcla knows how to mix drinks. We started with the bean dip, which was delicious. She really enjoyed her shrimp tacos, which were a bit spicier than she likes, but she said they were very good. I had the burrito loco and loved it. We will definitely be back.

Chips and salsa! Eat it all day. It's so good and so is their other food. Must try! Food is still good but the service has gotten bad. Slow and with an attitude the last couple times I've eaten there.

Waited 10 minutes for the hostess to finally arrive and seat us. It took another 10 min for the only 2 servers to figure out who wanted to work. The two tables next to us got seated after us and got food way before us. Service was atrocious and the place was not busy at all. Food was good once we received it, 45 min later. Will never be back as a local.

Some of the best if not THE best Mexican food in the area

Went there for a late lunch recently, and if my review could be based just on the food, it would be five stars, as everything we ordered was excellent. However, the service was far below par and somewhat strange. We stood at the door for about 15 minutes before being seated- a few staff members walked past us but didn't speak- it almost seemed like they were avoiding eye contact. They were out of the first four drinks we tried to order, and even once we selected drinks that they did have, it took a long time to actually get them (just beer and wine- nothing that needed to be mixed/prepared). Server was cold and seemed to be irritated that we were eating there. Wonder if the service would be better at true dinner time, as the food was definitely worth coming back for.

We live within walking distance and have been visiting Mezcla regularly since just after they opened. During our most recent visit we found a newer, and spotlessly clean, menu with some fresh and delicious changes! The host and server were excellent but the drinks still took a while getting to the table (it’s been an issue from the start). When Mezcla masters the bar, they’ll be coining money. Very cool and very comfy restaurant, some excellent servers who have stayed through ups and downs, god bless ‘em, and consistently great food. Just kick up the speed at that bar! I’ve only tried their birria tacos and chimichangas everything is good. They have really good drinks as well. I think they’re happy hours from 3 to 9. They had every flavor margarita you could think of The atmosphere is good as well 10 out of 10
