Very pleased with our lunch experience from the door to the table. Friendly and personable staff serving flavorful Mexican-inspired fusions. I am partial to their breakfast dishes like the chorizo hash and eggs. Apart from the more standard fare you would expect from a Central-American-themed restaurant staffed with mostly not Central-American people, there is a very safe kid's menu for your little picky eaters. Decent value; food is fresh and portions are either enough for a big meal or enough to bring a snack home as leftovers. Conveniently located on the 1st floor of a parking garage, Mezcal is also located within walking distance to major venues like Mechanics Hall and the DCU Center. So, get to your show eary and have a meal before curtains go up. I am not a big "go out and drink" person but reports indicate that their tequila-based drink selection was banging. Kid-friendliness: Surprisingly kid-friendly but a better crowd for kids earlier in the day.
Got delivery from here. Food was horrendous. Ordered carne asada and it was over cooked and tough as hell. The plantains that it came with were also overcooked and dry as hell. Actually, nothing was good about this meal. A piss poor excuse for a restaurant
the worst restaurant to go to, Melissa's initial service is terrible, they don't care about the customers at all, in addition to having people wait there for 15 minutes just to sit down when the restaurant was empty.
Great food, fine service, good atmosphere. Only problem is that, although the margaritas are delicious, every single time I have them, I have the most explosive diarrhea afterward... without fail. Been here a dozen times at this point and I can't resist the margs, but I always find myself rushing home to accommodate the inevitable torrent of bowel movements that ensues. Otherwise, would totally recommend.
Food was great as was the service. Parking sketchy
