Nice vibe, super friendly staff, and yummy food!

Went to Mestizo for lunch. The food was very plain. The chips and salsa, which included "hot" salsa was PG rated.

Service was not there. No connection. No water service no napkins? Get it together. I knew this place was too good to be true. Hopefully it gets better. I don’t feel welcomed. Basically ignored.

Went in for a date night and had a great time! There was live music and the staff was attentive and friendly. The drinks were so good and the tacos were even better! Best Birria I've had!

Every time I go or get it delivered I try something new and am so impressed! Love the pozole and quesabirria the best ❤️ the staff and atmosphere are equally delightful.

Great food, friendly people fun vibe. 1/12/24 edit: pro-tip if you google them you can do takeout! Money moves if you’re on the go! 11/28/23 edit: new quesataco jams are I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of them. They’re tho. And this place has the only IPA I’ve ever liked. Take that with a grain of salt tho because I don’t like IPa’s. But this one is ! Also, the margz are where you start and end the night folks. Bonappetito. 4/29/23 Edit: BEERS ARE TAPPED! Lager is great. Chocolate Stout is delicious (pro-tip: get 10oz instead for $1.50 less as it's rich), and WIT was super WIT IT. Another great dinner for our fam here last weekend with beautiful sunset to accompany the patio seating. Edit 3/5/23 after a few weeks of consistent patronage (5-8 times for various meals both alone and with my fam): -my wife loves the tortillas, we found out they're sourced locally in the Greater Denver area. She's a tortilla freak and getting her approval on the tortillas is a huge accomplishment. -my two young boys LOVE the rice sides. They ate about 57 sides of rice one night and it was pretty remarkable to watch. The beans are also so good. -the margaritas are super good, and we were pleasantly surprised to suffer no hangovers the next day. This is usually not the case for my wife and I. - they're REALLY close to getting their beers tapped, they just want to make sure they're 1000% right and I respect the hell out of that. - the steak they use in their tacos is cooked to perfection. Not too chewy, but super succulent. - I personally can eat the spinach and cheese popusas all day and all night... those are my go-to. - we were commenting on how many veggies you can actually count in the food you're getting. The food taste home-made and that's the differentiator in our house for why we'll keep going back. -friendliest folks on the blocks nearby. They won't admit it because they're too nice but their service is outstanding and a notch above the rest. See you next time Mestizo!

If you see it, stop! It’s worth every minute and penny you spend. The food, the beer, decor everything. I would go out of my way to eat here any day!

Excellent menu of authentic Mexican and Ecuadorian dishes. Homemade brews and salsas. Dog friendly outdoor patio. This place has it all! Round that off with very friendly staff, it's a must try for the West Denver area.
